HR Business Partner (12-month Fixed Term Contract)

We are currently seeking a HR Business Partner to join our team on a fixed term full time basis (parental leave cover) for a 12-month period until April 2025. The position will be based at Brightwater Central in Inglewood with the requirement to travel to sites across Perth region.
Reporting to the People Partner Lead, you will be responsible for partnering with our people leaders and employees based at sites to develop and implement solutions and strategies to improve HR metrics, workforce utilisation and employee engagement and advice on complex people matters while supporting a positive culture across service areas to align with our Brightwater Mission Spirit
Key areas of responsibilities include:
- Support people leaders to manage and resolve employee relations matters while interpreting and applying relevant workplace legislation, policies and procedures, Enterprise Agreement and Award conditions.
- Analyse, identify and anticipate opportunities and trends across all key HR metrics (i.e. absenteeism rates, retention and turnover, labour cost, ER matters, leave liability, employee engagement), and partner with people leaders to create and deliver actions and initiatives resulting in measurable improvements.
- Provide advice and support on HR policies, Enterprise Agreement and Award interpretation.

- A tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline
- A sound understanding of, and the ability to effectively interpret and apply, the principles of industrial instruments and employment contracts
- Demonstrated experience liaising with unions, employer bodies, the Fair Work Commission and others as required, in relation to employee relations matters and employee claims
- Knowledge of relevant industry awards and agreements (highly desirable)
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines, work under pressure, demonstrating critical-thinking and analytical capability
- A high degree of professionalism, initiative and motivation, providing a high level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- A keen interest in remaining up to date on human resources and employee relations matters and best practice methodologies
- A collaborative approach to working in a team, with the ability to be flexible and adaptive to achieve objectives
- A current Western Australian ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence
- Evidence of up-to-date vaccinations against influenza
- A NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) Worker Screening Check Clearance
