Are you a HR professional who is passionate about supporting managers and staff when dealing with complex issues and guiding difficult conversations.
Maybe you are an experienced APS HR Business Partner, who currently supports and advises managers with performance management concerns, and looking to specialise in this aspect of HR?
These roles might be the next career move for you!
The Department:
Our client is a large federal government agency, with offices located around Australia. They are looking for a couple of APS experienced HR people to join their team, specifically focusing on the management of performance and behaviour related issues.
The broader People Support team supports a range of complex people issues – rehabilitations, return to work, underperformance, probation and grievances. They don’t do any conduct related case management – they have a different team for investigating those matters.
Due to some maternity leave and a need to grow their team capacity, they are looking for HR people to join the team to manage a range of performance related cases. Having this additional capacity will also allow the team to focus on manager education and development to support early intervention of some of these complex issues.
The team is made up of 8-9 people and they need a couple more to continue to meet requirements.
They can offer opportunities from their Canberra, Brisbane or Melbourne locations and have the ability to offer non-ongoing contracts, temporary transfer at level (s26 for APS employees) or even labour hire for an experienced APS performance case manager who is looking for a change.
Initially they will offer 6–12-month engagements, with the potential for extension or even ongoing engagement in future.
