WOW Recruitment have recently partnered with a leading construction company, who have asked us to source anHR Coordinator to support their HR Manager on a 12 month contract.
Salary:Between$90k and $100k + Super
Objective:
Provide operational and strategic HR consultancy, advice and support relating to HR and IR matters.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Offer HR consultancy, support, and advice across various employee relations and industrial relations matters throughout the employee lifecycle, such as employee grievances, performance management, and disciplinary issues.
- Manage employee relations, including negotiating enterprise agreements, investigating complaints, and providing recommendations to enhance productivity and reduce risk.
- Support leaders in the end-to-end recruitment and selection process for hiring and talent acquisition within the business.
- Deliver learning and development initiatives aimed at addressing performance gaps and improving organizational effectiveness.
- Assist leaders with talent management, succession planning, and career development initiatives.
- Provide coaching to senior and frontline leaders, contributing to the development of leadership capabilities.
- Contribute to the review and development of company-wide policies, procedures, and systems, actively participating in their consistent implementation.
- Support leaders in implementing employee engagement initiatives.
- Offer advice on remuneration and benefits, including reward and recognition programs, job evaluation, remuneration analysis, and coordinating remuneration and bonus reviews.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, templates, and documents for key HR processes.
- Lead and execute HR-related initiatives and projects that align with operational needs and the overarching strategic plan.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, influencing and communication (written and verbal).
- Critical thinking, analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience with core HR competencies, such as succession planning, performance management, grievance resolution, leadership and development to implement best practice outcomes in line with policy and legislative requirements.
- Effective case management and administrative skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and industrial instruments governing employment in Australia.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in HR or related field (desirable)
- Minimum of 5 years’ HR experience
Other requirements:
- Undertake additional duties as required such as, during periods of leave of other staff.
- Undertaking activities in a safe manner and cooperating with Brickworks and divisional WHS requirements to improve safety in the workplace by:
- Reporting unsafe work practices, equipment, incidents and near misses.
- Working safely to reduce risk to themselves and others.
- Following WHS policies, procedure and direction.
- Utilising and maintaining PPE as required
- Employees in Managerial and Supervisory roles are responsible for ensuring WHS management systems, procedures and controls are complied with including:
- Appropriate staff and resources are delegated to undertake WHS duties
- Identifying work hazards, conducting risk assessments and implementing controls.
- All safety incidents and near misses are reported and investigated.
- Appropriate levels of supervision based on identified levels of risk.
This is an immediate start and is to cover a parental leave, so will be a fixed term contract for 12 months.
