About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Officer to join our team at our head office on Eagle Street in Brisbane’s CBD.
This role reports to the Human Resources Manager and will work closely with our human capital shared service centre based in South Africa. This varied role will suit an experienced Recruitment or Talent Acquisition professional who loves the blend of generalist HR coordination. Whilst recruitment activities will be a constant in the role, you will be exposed to a range of HR matters and be able to develop your career as an HR Generalist.

Key Responsibilities of the Role Include:
- Manage all recruitment activities across the business including attraction and onboarding
- Assist with a wide range of HR matters including development, retention and separation, and manage related documentation and records
- Reconcile timesheets and prepare input to payroll and third-party payments on a monthly basis
- Schedule inductions and maintain compliance with various mine site's Workforce Management Systems
- Identify opportunities to ensure continual improvements to processes and procedures
- Manage and promote our EAP services and other wellbeing initiatives
- Create and distribute HR related communications
- Provide advice and support on human resources activities, payroll, policies and best practice
- Provide general administration support for the HR function
To Be Successful in This Role You Will Possess:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline will be well regarded
- Previous experience in recruitment and talent acquisition is essential
- Ability to be hands on with recruitment activities including professional roles both white and blue collar
- Strong knowledge and understanding of HR processes, employment legislation
- High level of professionalism and integrity to maintain confidentiality in regard to employee information
- A desire to embrace AECI’s values and to engage, support and promote the well-being of our people
- An understanding of the Fair Work Act and ability to interpret awards
- Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and listening
- Ability to build and maintain strong and effective relationships with all levels of stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills with a high attention to detail
