We have two exciting opportunities for HR & Systems Professionals to join our People & Culture team in Sydney.

About the role

  • This role plays an important part in maintaining and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), Workday.

  • You will be responsible for troubleshooting stakeholder queries, escalating when required, and suggesting system process improvements.

  • You will also be involved in a range of Human Resources Generalist (HR) activities in relation to the broader HR and Talent Acquisition (TA) team. As part of this high performing team, an exceptional standard of customer service is expected both internally and with external stakeholders.

HRIS Systems Administration:

  • Ownership of the HR systems administration.

  • 1st Level support on Workday related queries for the team and our stakeholders.

  • Assist employees and external hires with Workday onboarding queries.

  • Create, update, maintain and distribute Workday manuals.

  • Monitor, analyse, and update Workday business processes drive efficiencies, support and enhance user experience, and ensure compliance with firm requirements.

  • Recommend service delivery improvements following feedback from both internal and external stakeholders and implementing agreed solutions.

  • Identify changes for implementation during Workday releases, implement test plans, coordinate test process, and implement in production.

  • Ensure high quality data input, audit and management, including training of HRIS users within the P&C team, but also the wider firm.

  • Assist with HRIS implementation testing new updates and twice-yearly Workday releases, as required.

  • Monitor Workday community and update the team on relevant releases.

  • Work with Workday AMS provider.

  • Work as part of the Workday project team, providing guidance and recommendations to decision makers.

  • Identify reporting requirements and develop solutions for internal and external data requirements, such as regulatory compliance requirements, client requirements, budgeting, performance metrics, etc.

  • Develop and maintain all HR and TA reports.

  • Work with Applications Development team to help develop functional solutions.

  • Work with internal teams including Payroll, Finance, and KM regarding HRIS and related system efficacy.

  • Owning Workday communications plan to provide updates to the firm about how to optimise their user experience, including working with KM and Learning & Organisational Development (L&OD) to ensure manuals, help guides, knowledge articles, FAQs, etc. are up to date and available at all times.

HR Generalist:

  • Provide advice on policy and interpretation to employees, managers, and Partners.

  • Ensure compliance with all WHS and Workers Compensation legislation, and provide advice to employees, managers and Partners on WHS matters, policies and procedures.

  • Provide advice and support in relation to all employee life cycle matters, including onboarding, probation periods, leave, flexible work requests, performance management, redundancies, offboarding etc.

  • Support the Firm in the interpretation of and adherence to applicable Awards and legislation, including ensure compliance with Legal Service Award, including timekeeping reporting and analysis.

  • Assist the broader People & Culture team with annual processes, projects, or strategic initiatives where required, such as diversity, equity and inclusion and employee engagement activities.

  • Assist with induction, training and development programs.

  • Responsible for entering all employee related transactions into Workday.

  • Own Workforce Screening process for current employees, including ensuring executed consent documentation is received, initiating and tracking screening, and maintaining screening data in Workday.

  • Maintain employee documentation in Workday, ensuring compliance with system security.

  • Distribute internal reporting, including daily and weekly system transactions, employee updates for intranet etc.

  • Maintain HR document templates, with consideration of best practice, and HRIS system processing and automation options.

About you

  • Previous Workday Administrator experience essential.

  • Previous experience in a Systems Administration role, ideally within Law firm or Professional services essential.

  • Previous experience in a Human Resources role essential.

  • Previous experience implementing Workday, or similar HRIS, ideal.

  • Experience providing 1st level support to HR teams on HRIS related queries.

  • Excellent communication skills and high service orientation.

  • Collaborative mindset.

  • Microsoft Office experience, with advanced Excel skills.

  • High attention to detail.

  • Highly organised with an ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong follow-up abilities to achieve desired team outcomes.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Work autonomously on tasks, with adequate support and routine guidance.

  • Higher School Certificate (or equivalent).

  • Bachelor’s degree or at least five years of relevant experience.

Salary package on offer is $95,000 to $100,000 inclusive of 11% super.
