The People & Culture Manager Role:
Reporting to the General Manager, this generalist human resources role, whilst primarily based at one of the major Bakery sites, involves a blend of work locations with regular travel between all sites.
The size of the business will allow you to drive the human resources function across all levels of the business; this means you can hit the ground running on the frontline, in a hands-on capacity, as well as contributing to the senior leadership team to support the business objectives.
The People & Culture Manager will be responsible for a range of generalist human resources activities such as effective communications, employee engagement and culture, recruitment and talent management, policy and processes, employment relations and compliance, and overseeing training and development.
Key deliverables include:
Ensuring the HR service delivery including HR administration functions are efficient and compliant.
Coaching and supporting managers and employees with timely expert advice and operational support to achieve objectives and drive operational standards for people and performance.
Leading operational and strategic human resources projects
Driving strategies to continuously strengthen workplace communication, behavioural standards, culture and diversity, engagement, recognition, celebrations and values.
Supporting performance management and IR processes including consultation, change management, and workplace compliance with laws and regulations, availability to access assistance from external professional support where necessary.
We are seeking a hands on, well organised HR professional who can demonstrate their authentic can-do style by delivering on actions and building trusted relationships as a credible advisor. Importantly, you will have a positive visible presence across all sites.
You will require:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or equivalent.
Demonstrated experience in a generalist human resource leadership role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to confidently communicate and build relationships across a diverse workforce.
Demonstrated grit and resilience as well as the emotional intelligence to manage relationships, your own wellbeing, and be a professional role model for others.
Attributes of a team player who is hands-on, with a can-do attitude to support the team, think outside the box and can hit the ground running!
