Form of workRESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain and drive a constant field presence for HSE on our project.
• Provide advice to site management, supervisors and employees ensuring compliance with legislation and HSE Management plans.
• Participate and assist with internal and external HSE audits for our project.
• Maintain relationships with our client through regular contact, and open communication on HSE matters.
• Provide support, assistance to on site management and supervisory staff in all HSE related matters.
• Provide support, assistance and mentoring to the workforce in the completion of HSE KPIs, i.e. workplace inspections, behavioural observations, corrective action closeouts.
• Perform specific HSE responsibilities and duties as assigned and in accordance with HSE management system requirements.
• Provide leadership that fosters a spirit of teamwork and drives a successful and safe project delivery.
• Reporting of all incidents with a view to corrective and preventative actions aimed at preventing reoccurrence.
• Assist in the completion of monthly safety reports when required.
• Participate in safety toolbox and awareness sessions.
• Assist to manage completion of all project safety objectives and targets.
• Assist to ensure employees are trained and familiar with the Safety Management Plan.
REQUIRED
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a site-based Safety Position in the Mining Construction Industry
• Certificate IV in WHS as a minimum; however, a Diploma in WHS or higher is preferred.
• Valid drivers’ license
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical.
• First Aid Qualifications.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
• High level of computer proficiency with Microsoft office and data entry.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational Skills.
• Have a sound knowledge and understanding of WHS and Environmental Legislation, Regulations, Standards and Codes of Practice.
• Demonstrate the ability to investigate, identify and problem solve effectively.
