Job Description
This role is a hands-on, site based Safety advisory role, with a strong focus on driving a collaborative and positive safety culture with both contractors and principal staff. The role will consist of:
- Incident investigations and risk assessments
- Conducting inductions and VOCs for workers
- Contributing to and conducting toolbox talks
- Working with client safety leadership to drive cross-business safety improvements
The successful candidate will have a strong background in hands-on mining industry safety work with an ability to drive continuous improvement processes in a client-facing role. Along with this and excellent communication skills, they will have the following qualifications:
- Minimum of Diploma of WHS
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment
- Confined Space Entry & Working from heights qualificationsThe successful candidate will have a demonstrated background in FIFO work, and ideally experience working with Tier 1 mining or construction operators.
