The opportunity:
Our Development line of business currently seeking a HSE Advisor to join the team. Reporting to the Project Construction Manager, the HSE Advisor will assist in implementing our HSE Management system on our Ed.Square project based in Edmondson Park.
With our next stages of our development being Townhouses and Terraces just started on construction as HSE Advisor you will play an integral part in ensuring safety protocols and best practice is followed, with a focus on constant improvement in order to achieve our project goals. As the successful applicant, this role will see your responsibilities include:
- Supporting the delivery and embedment of the National HSE strategy within the project
- Coach and guide the project team and contractors to build HSE capability; foster a culture of HSE ownership within the delivery team
- Advise HSE manager of system gaps, opportunities & solutions for improvement
- Support and maintain FPA HSE Management system on projects, maintaining HSE documentation
- Preparation of HSE management plan and emergency management plan
- Lead HSE risk workshops with key stakeholders; providing individual and group HSE management coaching to project teams and subcontractors
- Reviewing subcontractor HSE Packs for compliance
- Using Enablon to record observations, inspections, audits and incidents, and project trends
- Conducting investigation into incidents and providing lessons learnt and corrective actions
- Supporting the FPA Return-to-Work Coordinator in assisting injured workers
- Undertaking HSE inspections and observations to monitor compliance
As the ideal applicant you will possess:
- Demonstrated experience in applying accredited HSE Management systems
- Certificates IV in Work, Health and Safety, and in Environment Site Management
- Construction Induction Card, and Advanced First Aid Application
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proven ability to interpret and apply the WHS legislative framework
