The Role
Seeking safety professionals with a strong background in supporting electrical, mechanical and access works.
This will be a casual role local-based role servicing several of our long-term and ongoing shutdown project works for our Tier one clients across the Pilbara and Port Hedland region. With potential to be a casual FIFO role from Perth (only).
The successful candidate will assist with the ongoing and day-to-day provision of HSEQ support, advice, training, mentoring, reporting functions and systems maintenance for our SRG Global Asset Services Pilbara operations and to assist the Group HSE Operations Manager with the development, roll out and maintenance of the organisation's HSE management system, plans and specific programs with regards to Maintenance projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strong relationships across all levels of the business to effectively influence and implement the SRG Global safety and quality standards and culture of zero harm.
- Assist with the development of key safety and quality activities at a business level.
- Assist with the preparation of reports, alerts and other safety and quality documentation at a business level.
- Utilise the SRG Global HSE Event Management System to monitor events and provide guidance and support within area of responsibility.
- Undertake reviews of event reports and assist operations on determining causes and actions to prevent recurrences.
- Communicate HSE notifications related to issues as and when they arise, through toolbox meetings, safety committee meetings and memorandums.
- Assist business management with action outcomes from internal and external audits.
- Undertake, where required, accident investigations for accidents, on-the-job injuries, and other HSE related complaints to determine cause, contributing factors, and corrective action to prevent recurrence.
- Assist with Injury Management and RTW in consultation with the Injury Management Business Partner.
- Facilitate internal training programs as required.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- Experience working with Scaffolding, Electrical, Mechanical and/or Access disciplines
- Experience in the industrial environment would be highly regarded
- Certificate IV in OH&S (minimum)
- WA Electrical License (Desirable)
- Rope Access Qualification (Desirable)
- High Risk Work Licence in Scaffolding and Rigging (Desirable)
- Formal incident investigation qualification (ICAM required).
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment (Desirable)
- Current driver’s license.
- Good working knowledge of WHS Legislation.
- Safety management system experience.
- Strong communication and people skills
- Strong computer and systems skills and knowledge
