Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer

As we continue to grow and thrive in this dynamic industry, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our team for various projects we have coming up across the APAC region.

As an HSE Officer at ARC WIND, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our wind energy construction projects meet and uphold the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental regulations. You will work with a team of passionate professionals, making a meaningful impact in creating a safer, eco-friendly work environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

- Safety and Health Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations, conducting regular inspections, risk assessments, and audits.

- Environmental Compliance: Monitor, assess, and maintain compliance with environmental laws and regulations related to wind energy construction and operations.

- Incident Investigation: Lead and conduct investigations of workplace accidents or incidents and provide recommendations to prevent reoccurrence.

- Safety Training: Develop, coordinate, and deliver safety training programs to educate employees on safety protocols, procedures, and best practices.

- Emergency Response Planning: Develop and implement emergency response plans, including first aid and evacuation procedures.

- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records and documentation related to HSE activities, ensuring proper reporting to regulatory authorities.

- Risk Management: Identify potential safety and environmental risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

- Safety Culture Promotion: Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the organization by promoting awareness and best practices.

- Regulatory Liaison: Serve as a liaison between the company and relevant regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with permits and licenses.

- Safety Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance and procurement of safety equipment, ensuring it meets safety standards.

Qualifications:

- Diploma of WHS / Cert IV with minimum of 3 years’ experience. 

- Proven experience in HSE roles, preferably in the construction or renewable energy industry.

- Knowledge of federal, state, and local HSE regulations and guidelines.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
