Our Distribution Centre located in Da Vinci Precinct Brisbane Airport is a new state of the art facility, embracing 4,000M2 of storage capacity together with a services division and commercial office space. We service various industries covering every sector imaginable including mining, hospitals, utilities, data centres and just about everything in-between.
Your Role:
As a key member of our team, you'll provide targeted support to our Distribution Centre key stakeholders, ensuring HSE accountabilities are met. Reporting to the Pacific HSE & Sustainability Director, you'll lead the implementation of continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives, helping drive standardisation in HSE practices across Schneider's Logistics, DC, and Transport operations in Australia and New Zealand.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the implementation and assurance of the HSE Management System and Sustainability goals
- Develop and implement national programs to improve and standardize HSE practices and risk management controls
- Manage incident and hazard classification, triage, investigation, and action management
- Oversee health and safety consultation, issue resolution, and emergency management
- Drive the implementation of HSE, Sustainability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
About you
If you're innovative, strategic, and safety-minded with a compassion for leadership and collaboration skills, and at least five years of relevant experience, we want to hear from you!
In addition, you possess the following relevant skills and attributes to be successful;
- effective mentorship and collaboration skills to build and maintain trust
- degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent
- experience in HSE management in a facility and/or industrial environment
- good understanding of high risk activities in a warehouse including such as forklift operation, pallet racking and heavy vehicle operation
This role is based in our Brisbane DC and has an expectation of occasional interstate travel within Australia.
