EK Contracting has an exciting opportunity for a HSE Coordinator to join our team to coordinate WHS across our Wattleup Perth Yard, Port Hedland and Bunbury yard and FIFO mine sites. This role is for someone who likes working variety and working with people to manage associated safety elements of mine, civil and transport sectors.
Core responsibilities
• Oversee all internal safety and compliance related issues, conduct investigations into incidents using relevant systems
• Complete all associated tasks relevant to ISO audit requirements and Main Road HVA accreditation assisting Management to maintain
these systems
• Manage the HSE delivery of large projects including monitoring all BMS systems, data entry and preparing safety documentation
• Communicate with all employees at different levels of the business about training requirements and gaps
Essential criteria
• Certificate IV in WHS with 2 years’ experience in this role or similar (essential)
• Current ‘HR’ Class Western Australian Drivers’ License (desirable)
• In depth safety understanding of mine, civil and transport HSE expectations, policies and process
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills for internal auditing purposes
