About the Role
We are currently seeking an HSEQ Advisor to support our HSEQ team located in Perth CBD. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, your key duties will include but will not be limited to:
- Support company operations in all aspects of HSEQ as required
- Manage the incident investigation and emergency response program, acting as the lead investigator for all incidents, coordinating and developing effective actions to prevent re-occurrence
- Positively influence, and advise Leaders and workforce on Health and Safety requirements under Workplace Health & Safety Legislation
- Undertake construction project audits to ensure contractors and workers are complying with all requirements of the specific Project HSEQ Management Plan and Federal Safety Commission requirements
- Conduct office, warehouse and vehicle inspections to ensure compliance to all company policies, procedures and legislative requirements
- Designing, developing and delivering training programs to support the company’s Safe system of work
- Developing and maintaining HSEQ documentation to ensure continuous improvement in HSEQ and training as applicable
- Collating HSEQ data, developing risk mitigation strategies, delivering presentations and reports to executive management and other stakeholders
- Advise on relevant WHS legislation and review changes to legislative requirements for all states and territories of Australia and New Zealand is desirable
Requirements
- Min 3 years' experience within a similar role
- Cert IV or Diploma Work Health Safety
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment desirable
- Possess a valid WA Manual Drivers Licence
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
- Sound computer literacy with word processing, spreadsheets, and HSEQ software systems
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Sound ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities and complex problem solving
- Experience auditing construction projects as well as a possessing a formal Auditor qualification
- Experience managing and investigating incidents utilising the ICAM methodology. Formal lead investigator training required
- Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders of the business
