Stornoway has an excellent opportunity for a HSEQ Advisor to join our Safety Team in our North-West division based in East Devonport, on a full-time basis. The role will provide field based support, complete field-based observations / audits and work closely with internal and external stakeholders across all operations of our business.
From providing support with inductions and verification of competencies, to evaluating the suitability of a sub-contractor and auditing compliance (safety, environment, quality), no two days will be the same. Reporting to the Safety Manager, you will have a true passion for compliance, adherence, thoroughness and bring a demonstrated ability to build rapport and respect amongst a range of stakeholders. You will be visiting some of the most remote, beautiful, and challenging sites in your region, so a passion for getting out amongst the teams and embracing the elements is a must.
In order to achieve success, you will have demonstrated skills in (but not limited to):
- Formal qualifications in WHS and/or Quality (Cert IV minimum).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good planning and logistics skills.
- Ability to work remotely and undertake travel as required.
- Minimum 2+ years in a similar role.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following mandatory attributes:
- General Safety Induction White Card
- Full, unrestricted Australian drivers’ licence
- Rights to Work in Australia
A fully maintained vehicle will be provided, along with other items such as a company mobile phone and laptop computer.
