What's on offer?Fulton Hogan's Tasmanian team are going through a very exciting period of growth, no more so than the recently awarded Northeast Tasmania Road Maintenance contract on behalf of the Department of State Growth.Fulton Hogan will deliver a network wide maintenance contract of 1300km of State Roads Network, including a small number of unsealed roads in the North East corner of Tasmania. This will include:Reactive routine maintenance and rapid response including pothole repairs, roadside furniture reinstatement, footpath repairs and drain cleaning.Preventative pavement maintenance programs such as asphalt resurfacing and rehabilitation, and unsealed road and road shoulder grading.Amenity improvement programs including grass mowing, weed spraying, and street and footpath sweeping.As a result, Fulton Hogan is looking for a HSEQ Advisor to be based out of our Launceston Depot. This role will provide shared support between the North East Maintenance contract and the existing infrastructure team based out of our Mowbray Depot. The SEQ Advisor will be responsible for providing practical, hands-on SEQ support and working collaboratively with staff at all levels of the business ensuring best practice standards are being met and exceeded.Key responsibilities:Drive and champion a culture that is focused on the pillars of safety, environment & qualityDevelop and implement SEQ plans and procedures such as SWMS, EMPS etc.Conduct site and office based safety assessments and SEQ auditsCoordinate/participate in investigations as requiredIncident and near miss reporting and Investigations, document reviews, reporting and assisting in management of non-conformances, toolbox talks and campaign rolloutsUse safety systems to meet reporting requirements (monthly reports, objectives & targets)How you will connect to the role:SEQ experience with 2+ years requiredRelevant industry experience beneficialUnderstanding of Work Health and Safety legislationStrong understanding of AS/NZS ISO 14001, AS/NZS ISO 9001 and AS/NZS 4801Sound systems development, implementation and management experiencePossess an Occupational First Aid Certificate.A strong commitment to our Living Safely cultureProactive self-starter with exceptional communication skillsDiploma in OHS (desirable not essential) The pre-employment process will involve a medical check including drug and alcohol screening.
