We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our clients' team on a rare earth's project in Kalgoorlie.The successful candidate MUST HAVE experience in Underground Services on a mine site in Australia.
Location: Kalgoorlie, Western Australia
Employment Type: FIFO on a 2:1 roster or residential
Duration: Minimum 3 months with the option to extend up to 12 months
Commencement Date: Early March 2024
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice and support on Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) matters.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement controls to mitigate hazards.
- Promote a positive safety culture and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and report on HSEQ performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Conduct audits and inspections to assess compliance and identify opportunities for enhancement.
- Provide training and guidance to employees and contractors on HSEQ procedures and practices.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement HSEQ strategies and initiatives.
- Proven experience in a similar role, within the mining or resources sector
- Underground services experience is mandatory.
- Relevant qualification in Health, Safety, and Environment (Cert III in Work Health and Safety or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical check and a laboratory drug and alcohol screen.
- $90ph - $95ph + super
