BMR Logistics is an Australian family owned and operated company with almost 25 years experience within the industry. We are accredited with NHVAS, Trucksafe, ISO & SafeFood/HACCP Accreditations.
We currently have a vacancy for a HSEQ / Compliance Officer to work in affiliation with our current 3rd party HSEQ Consultants. The position is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Integrated Management System (IMS), including quality processes and systems ensuring compliance to ISO requirements and the coordination of internal and external auditing of all HSEQ, NHVR, Truck Safe, Food Safety, and updating legislation changes relevant to BMR Logistics requirements.
About the Role
Key accountabilities of the role:
- Conduct and manage internal audits, and liase with external auditors.
- Manage and provide direction and guidance to all drivers and depo employees regarding HSEQ and compliance.
- Manage all QA, control registers, including IMS, Work Diary entries, management for NHVR/Trucksafe, ISO Accreditations & SafeFood.
- Coordinating and conducting internal investigations into compliance issues/breaches.
- Ensuring company activities, products, policies, procedures, and documentation are complaint with industry, state and federal legislation.
- Reporting to management on matters of risk, compliance, and legislation.
- Ensuring all internal management systems are kept current.
- Conduct Toolbox meetings in accordance with BMR Trucksafe/ISO Accreditation.
- Manage and conduct all relevant Risk Assessments
- Prepare for and attend audits in accordance with allocated lead times.
- Create, implement, and maintain all SOP’s and process/procedures.
- Work closely with Management ensuring that all safety initiatives enhance operational efficiencies.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- BSB41419 Certificate IV in WH&S
- Auditor of IMS qualification
- Current QLD License and own transport

- Knowledge of the Transport/Logistics industry highly regarded
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain accuracy
