Our Client is a highly successful local manufacturing business who have been in operation since 1969. With a market share of 80% in South East Qld and beyond, they are continuing to go through a strategic growth phase throughout all States of Australia and into NZ.
A newly created position is now available for a suitably qualified, experienced and driven individual who is passionate about Quality Control and Health, Safety and Compliance. As an integral part of the Operations team, you will be responsible for supporting best practice HSEQ culture across the business, through the implementation and maintenance of the Company's safety and quality initiatives.

- Internal and external HSEQ policy interpretation and development of appropriate strategies to ensure functional compliance.
- Building strong internal relationships to actively reinforce & promote best practice in safety.
- Monitoring incidents raised through safety reporting systems.
- Provide coaching and support where required to improve safety.
- Developing and documenting procedures, safe work method statements and job safety analysis.
- Design, develop and deploy safety policies and procedures, including embedding throughout leaders and the organisation.
- Monitoring compliance with workplace policies and procedures through conducting formal and informal internal audits, including audits of external contractors.
- Developing and maintaining safety and quality systems that, as a minimum, satisfies legislative requirements.
- Monitoring and maintaining the controls & standards to enable operational compliance with chain of responsibility (CoR) and regulations and requirements.
- Monitor, investigate, report, and manage QA issues reported by internal and external stakeholders and maintain quality registers and feedback process.
- Root cause analysis of QA issues and implementation of corrective actions, in conjunction with Production staff.
- Provide statistical analysis and interpretation of systems reporting data and generate monthly reporting.
- Provide support to management in conducting risk assessments and incident / quality related investigations.
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in OH&S or similar
- Proven experience in conducting risk assessments & internal audit processes
- Experience in a safety/compliance role within an SME manufacturing environment
- Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience in implementing safety procedures, product safety and quality standards in line with relevant legislation
- Practical experience in managing RTW requirements and compliance
- Working knowledge of CoR and quality management systems.
- Ability to use your initiative and proactively think ahead

- Organisational and time management that is second to none
