Your Next Opportunity:
We are looking for a Site Clerk/Project Coordinator you will be reporting to the Contract Administrator and Project Manager, to assist with the successful delivery of commercial projects.
Applicants should be skilled in liaising with suppliers, contractors, consultants, project staff, and clients/client representatives throughout the Construction phase of projects. This is an autonomous role, perfect for a bright spark who is seeking development and an exponential career growth in construction administration.
The role will be primarily based in our Head Office, located in the Buddina area, Sunshine Coast and/or site based. The role will be a full-time position, Monday to Friday, school hours may be considered.
Selection Criteria:
- Whilst not essential, the ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the Construction industry
- Excellent reading, written and verbal communication skills, including a professional telephone manner;
- Strong negotiating skills and problem-solving ability;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Excellent time management and organizational ability;
- Computer literate; Microsoft Office proficient
- General knowledge of relevant building terminology;
- Experience with accounting software
- Friendly and courteous manner;
- Positive attitude and ability to promote strong team morale;
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships.
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills
- Driver's License
- White Card or willing to obtain one
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager and Contract Administrator with letting of subcontracts / procurement of trades and suppliers
- Assist the Contract Administrator with tender comparisons and sample submissions
- Attending regular client meetings along with the PM and taking minutes
- Document control
- Getting involved in cost planning, forecasting, budgeting and weekly/monthly reporting
- Invoicing and preparing purchase orders for trades and suppliers
- Cost control to ensure accurate cost reporting
- Assisting with contract administration, claims and variation management
- Assist with Quality Control and Safety record keeping
