About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced and safety driven HSEQ Manager to join our Head Office located in Townsville.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for providing leadership in all aspects of HSEQ including the ongoing development, Implementation and maintenance of the Integrated Management System within the Organisation. You will also be required to manage a team of HSEQ Advisors on the projects and take and active role supporting ongoing projects.
Mandatory requirements are as follows:
- Minimum Diploma of WHS/OHS
- Minimum Cert IV in TAE
- ICAM or equivalent Lead Investigator qualifications
- Experience in Rehabilitation and Return to Work duties
- Lead Auditor qualifications
- Comprehensive experience and understanding of the Risk Management processes
- Strong leadership skills and able to make decisions regarding HSEQ
- Minimum 5 years in a HSEQ Leadership role
- Experience with ISO and FSC audits
- TMR Experience
- Experience in Civil Construction is essential
- Experience in environmental management strategies
Other role responsibilities:
- Assist in development of organisational strategies and initiatives
- Lead compliance across the project sites
- Manage and assist Project HSE Advisors
- Develop HSEQ management plans for projects
- Coordinate and conduct monthly HSEQ Meetings with site personnel
- Conduct audits and inspections
- Train, mentor and develop HSEQ Advisors and Project Management staff in all aspects of HSEQ
- Lead investigations where required and directed
- Review emergency response requirements across the business including project sites
- Manage and coordinate all Return-to-Work cases
- Manage and review training throughout the organisation
- Assist with tender submissions, EOIs or pre-qualifications regarding quality, safety and environmental
- Systematically monitor project teams for ongoing performance
