About the Role
We have two newly created roles based in Brisbane, with a focus on Health and Safety in our retail network. As the Health Safety and Environmental Advisor, you will:
- Assist the HSSE Team with the preparation, distribution, and control of HSSE-related documentation to operational facilities
- Manage the licensing and registration of new operational facilities including applications to relevant regulatory and emergency services organisations
- Support the Regional Retail Management team in ensuring compliance with external HSE Authority directives
- Contribute to the planning and tracking of key HSE performance indicators for operational activities
- Manage the ‘Step up’ incident reporting system including the preparation and editing of incident reports, supporting, and facilitating basic incident investigations, tracking compliance status with critical internal and external actions
- Collate and analyse trends in incident reporting data, HSE audit output, internal training compliance data and key performance indicators for preparation of HSE performance reports
- Review, implementation and continuously improve Safety manuals and procedures across operating and retail sites
- Provide leadership & coaching to leaders and to build capability, encourage development & reinforce United Petroleum’s HSE commitment.
About You
- A formal HSE qualification such as Cert IV safety Management will be highly regarded
- Established experience working in a retail and/or industrial environment
- A proactive outlook with the ability to follow up issues, work to deadlines, and work with a broad range of stakeholders to achieve outcomes
- A high degree of organisation and attention to detail
- Intermediate knowledge of OHS legislation
- Experience with document management
- Current Driver’s Licence.
