We are Australia’s largest pure-play coal producer generating over $10 billion in Foreign Direct Investment, owning, operating or participating in coal mines across NSW, Queensland and Western Australia. 

Managed by Yancoal, Cameby Downs is a small open cut thermal coal mine in the Surat Basin in southern Queensland, between Chinchilla and Miles. We employ approximately 230 people and aim to support our local communities.

Provide effective administration support to the HST Department, whilst ensuring compliance with Cameby's Safety & Health Management Systems, the Queensland Coal Mining Legislation and Cameby Downs and Yancoal policies and procedures

  • Risk assess hazards and develop controls and communicate these to all relevant persons
  • Monitor the completion of corrective actions following safety incidents and inspections
  • Assist the HST Superintendent to monitor and manage compliance to the QLD CMH&S Act and Regulations and Cameby's 'Safety and Health Management System
  • Maintain Safety Health Management System (SHMS) and HST system document control via Intelex
  • Assist with budget monitoring and completion of cost analysis reports
  • Maintain safety registers and records e.g. drug and alcohol, monthly hours, safety statistics
  • Perform data entry into various spread sheets and management systems
  • Assist with the development and delivery of training and the processing of training and assessment materials
  • Assist in maintaining the site training matrix to ensure skills on site match operational requirements

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current unrestricted drivers licence
  • First aid qualification desirable
  • TAE40110 or TAE40116 desirable
  • Business administration qualifications desirable
  • Generic Surface Induction (Standard 11) desirable
