About the Opportunity
Our business seeks an experienced and talented HR Advisor to join our team on a permanent full-time basis, working at our office located in Canningvale on a family-friendly Monday to Friday Roster.
Reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for providing operational generalist HR support to the business. This role requires someone who can work effectively in a fast-paced stand-alone environment, capable of building and maintaining strong relationships while setting the foundation for the company to achieve its goals through excellent people practices.

Typical duties will include
- Ensure administration of all HR tasks and day-to-day operations run independently and efficiently.
- Provide ongoing HR support, coaching, guidance and advice to managers on all HR matters, Interpret award entitlements, ER and workplace issues.
- Take charge of the recruitment process, from coordinating interviews to preparing employment contracts, while meticulously maintaining accurate HR records in Employment Hero.
- Facilitate essential HR functions such as employee onboarding, compliance checks, performance appraisals, and salary reviews, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Coordinate the annual performance reviews, salary review, and development planning cycle.
- Manage the employee reward and recognition program.
- Assist with the rollout of engagement surveys, collate and present results, and support action planning.
- Ensure adequate processes/systems are in place to support all HR functions and identify potential improvements to ensure continuous improvement and best practice HR processes.
- Provide advice to Board on labour market conditions and make recommendations on remuneration with balance for attracting and retaining talent with sustainable cost management.
- Involvement in a range or HR projects and initiatives.
About You
- Proven experience in a HR role with sound knowledge of contemporary HR practices.
- Previous experience in HR within a manufacturing organisation is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in the creation and application of policies and procedures, developing processes, and implementing system improvements.
- Sound knowledge and application of Fair Work legislation and Modern Awards.
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to successfully communicate and liaise with people at all levels, both internal and external to Allied Pumps.
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to use initiative and prioritise effectively.
- Proven ability to prioritise competing priorities and adapt to change with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to communicate with people from various cultures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while displaying professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
- Proficient in software such as Employment Hero, Microsoft Suite, Payroll systems (HR3, Xero), Recruitment Platforms, and Smartsheet.
