The Family Member Employment (FME) Coordinator position is located within the Regional Human Resources (HR) Office servicing Embassy Canberra and Regional Posts in Mission Australia on the American Human Resources Program for the Department of State (DOS) and affiliated agencies.
Duties
- Performs the full range of HUMAN RESOURCE responsibilities in areas of staffing, recruitment, employee benefits, compensation, performance evaluations, security clearances, and employee relations.
- Responsible for managing all aspect of Family Member Employment including Family Member Appointments (FMA), Expanded Professional Associates Program (EPAP), Personal Services Agreements (PSA), When Actually Employed (WAE) and Temporary positions.
- Provide administrative assistance to the overall American HR program and serves as liaison to Consulates.
- Three (3) years’ experience in HUMAN RESOURCEs and/or general office experience including general knowledge of office/records management and administrative support procedures in an office environment is required.
- At least one year of customer service experience, is required.
- Completion of secondary school (HSC or high school diploma) is required.
- Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. Secret Clearance.
- Fluent, speaking/reading/writing of English is required.
