Hays Recruitment is working with a fantastic client to recruit for their new Human Resource Manager. Located in central Canberra, they are a well-known and respected company that strives to promote quality and opportunity. The candidate must have relevant HR qualifications and have experience motivating staff, promoting a positive workplace culture and developing a team of high performers. Appplicants must have a current open Australian driver's licence and the ability to obtain a police check and WWVP card.
Your new role
The main priority will be to provide operational HR advice to managers and employees on HR systems, policies and procedures. There will be elements of process improvement, problem-solving and analysis within areas of accountability. The candidate will have experience across all generalist HR functions including recruitment (selection criteria, onboarding, employee compliance and pre-employment checks) as well as being responsible for the development and implementation of HR projects including implementing new systems, initiatives and programs.
What you'll need to succeed
- A passionate advocate for the organisation's values and a passion for Diversity and Inclusion.
- Relevant qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated previous HR experience as HRBP or Manager.
- Previous working experience providing HR advice, with a strong background in organisational development, staff development, and inclusion.
- Experience working effectively across diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current Human Resource systems.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the capacity to maintain effective relationships with staff and stakeholders.
- relevant knowledge of work health and safety requirements
- ability to obatin WWVP card.
