About the RoleReporting to the General Manager – People, Vet Services, the People Administrator – Vet Services is responsible for providing administrative HR support to the People Team relating to the entire employee lifecycle. You will be a true team player who is excited by the opportunity to join a fun, lively and vibrant team
Your role and responsibilities will include but not limited to- Generating and sending employment agreements and commencement paperwork to new team members, including monitoring and actioning the returned commencement documents (soon to be online)
- Preparation, review and processing of various letters and other people documents in line with changes to employment conditions and other requests such as statements of service
- Confirming Work Rights, including VEVO checks for Non Australian Citizens
- Providing basic guidance to managers on contract and award interpretation, and legal/regulatory requirements.
- Providing basic advice to managers on employment-related queries, or escalation to HR Advisor as appropriate.
- Action changes to employment in line with Delegation of Authority for existing team members including the generation of new contracts and variation letters
- Preparation of employee related reports as required
- Promote the Employee Assistance Program and maintain active employees on the platform
- Take a best practice approach in consideration of mental health in all stakeholder engagement
- 1-2 years of veterinary industry or administrative experience
- Efficient, organised high attention to detail and able to manage time effectively
- Manage competing priorities effectively to meet deadlines
- Demonstrate exceptional relationship building skills and maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrate a can-do attitude and strong perceptive skills
- An ability navigate competing priorities and work in a fast-paced, high volume environment
- An ability to pick up process and procedure and take ownership of continuous process improvement
- An ability to meet deadlines and possess strong analytical and organisational skills
- An ability to be autonomous and show initiative and eagerness to learn
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills are required. The successful candidate must be Proficient in Microsoft Office including, Word and Excel
