THE ROLE

Are you passionate about providing professional support and guidance on a wide range of people matters? Are you looking for opportunities to contribute to strategic HR projects? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are looking for a highly motivated HR Advisor to join our supportive team. Key responsibilities include: 

  • Providing expert advice and support to managers and employees in all areas of Human Resources, with a strong focus on industrial and employee relations. 
  • Assisting with disciplinary and grievance procedures, escalating complex or sensitive issues when necessary.
  • Supporting the development, review, and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and precedents.
  • Collaborating with senior management on strategic HR projects.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE   

To be successful in this role, you will need: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related fields. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in employee relations and industrial relations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in a Windows environment and strong digital literacy.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • To be adaptable, self-motivated, and comfortable with managing time efficiently.
  • The ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • The ability to support and mentor team members. 
  • Experience in collating and analysing HR metrics, and preparing HR reports (desirable). 
  • Experience in the NFP, recreation, children's services, or community services sector (desirable).
