An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated HR Advisor looking to take the next step in their career. Based at our Callide Power Station in Biloela, this position will be reporting into the HR Manager to deliver practical people solutions across Callide (primarily) and Kogan Creek sites.
The successful applicant will have experience in an operational, fast-paced role where you are required to work autonomously and within a team to resolve ambiguity and be solutions orientated. Your ability to influence others as well as adjust rapidly and frequently to new situations will also help you excel in the role.
Duties include the below, but are not limited to:
- Work closely with HR Managers to provide general HR/IR advice and support to leaders and employees.
- Assist in performance management and improvement initiatives.
- Handle conflict management effectively, promoting a positive work environment.
- Interpret and apply workplace legislation, industrial instruments, and company policies.
- Liaise with Recruitment Specialists to ensure high-quality recruitment services.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to address employee matters efficiently.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices and legal requirements.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives.
- Provide support in the resolution of employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
- Participate in HR-related projects and initiatives as required.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:
- Diploma qualifications in Human Resource Management or related discipline, would be advantageous but is not essential.
- 3-5 years’ experience working within a HR function in a generalist or advisory role.
- SAP experience or other HRIS experience in a large organisation.
- Strong MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to multi task and prioritise work independently and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with a high level of professionalism.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to develop effective relationships and influence others.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering high quality outcomes within tight timeframes.
- Strong work ethic, initiative, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity.
