Human Resources Advisor

Compass Group is a world leader in catering and support services. We are currently recruiting a People Services Advisor to join our National People Services Team, providing critical HR support to our many operations nation-wide.
The Position

• Supporting our line Managers by providing customer-focussed HR support and advice to managers that aligns and adheres to organisational policies, procedures and legal requirements.
• This includes award and agreement interpretation, policy advice, employee grievance support, performance management support, absence management and other HR generalist tasks.
• Coach line managers on how to engage, develop, reward and retain their employees
• Reporting to the HR People Services Manager, you will also contribute towards team HR projects
• Collaborate with the broader HR team to ensure a seamless delivery to all stakeholders

The Person

• Qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Broad range of generalist HR experience, within a workforce that is unionised
• Demonstrable experience in Awards and Enterprise Agreements interpretation
• Previous experience in grievances, performance management, and complaint investigation
• Experience in navigating a variety of HRIS or HRMS and reporting systems
• Proactive, well organised, and can work autonomously in an unsupervised environment
• A broad range of influencing skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders
