HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER
Hamilton Island is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to work collaboratively within an allocated division on operational advisory, reporting and consultancy support.
The position is generalist in nature and is required to provide HR subject matter expertise across the end-to-end employee lifecycle. Reporting to the HR Director, this position is one of three Business Partners that play a pivotal role in helping deliver on our strategic vision through our people and upholding the Hamilton Island values of Service, Excellence, Environment, Safety and Team.
Your Role
- Partner with managers on all aspects of the employee’s lifecycle including (but not limited to) coaching and mentoring, performance management, organisation design, remuneration and reward, and talent development.
- Management of any Industrial Relations matters for the division/s such as Award interpretation, policies and legislation interpretation and implementation.
- Maintain an intimate knowledge of Modern Awards, Agreements, company policies and statutory requirements to ensure business compliance.
- Provide guidance, advice, and facilitation support for a range of business change initiatives that promote employee engagement, enhance business practices, and increase productivity.
- Develop and forge strong relationships with the Department Heads/Senior Manager and all relevant stakeholders.
About You
You are looking for a position based on the stunning Hamilton Island or working from our Head Office in St Leonards (with hybrid working), or commuting from the Airlie Beach area.
You are a true HR professional, with years of experience at advisory/partnering level in a dynamic and complex environment, particularly in the sphere of ER and IR.
To be successful in the role you will need:
- Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate, communicate and influence managers, with emphasis placed on building and maintaining trusted relationships.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure with the capability to pivot and manage change.
- Strong HR technical knowledge and experience with the ability to translate business strategy into related programs and initiatives.
- Innovative thinker with proven ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects.
You will also have:
- Formal qualifications in Human Resource Management or related discipline
- 3-5 years’ experience in Human Resources or similar
- Experience using Workforce Dimensions (Time and Attendance), Chris21 (Payroll) or other systems.
- Intermediate Microsoft skills
