Responsibilities
- Support the Head of People, Culture & Community by providing comprehensive HR advice to various departments at Lort Smith, enabling them to manage their people effectively and achieve business outcomes across a range of areas such as performance management, legislative compliance, workforce planning, policy/procedure and EA interpretation
- Provide advice and support with respect to the IR/ER environment including grievance and dispute resolution, counselling, mediation, legal interpretation and legislative compliance
- Provide knowledgeable, dependable HR counsel to management in order to accomplish successful results
- Build collaborative stakeholder relationships that ensure cooperation and commitment in order to achieve effective people strategies across key projects
- Identify and deliver human resources initiatives in partnership with others to build performance that supports the people and our business objectives
- Assist with EA development and negotiation activities
- 5+ years of proven experience in a HR/P&C Business Partner role
- Experience in advising on complex employee relations matters, organisational change programs and other HR issues
- Proven track record of solving complex and/or technical HR related business issues using a variety of innovative approaches and coaching employees and management on P&C matters
- Strong negotiation and mediation capabilities to facilitate key outcomes
- Experience managing key internal and external stakeholders
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to tailor your communication to different audiences and learning styles
- Able to operate and prioritise your time autonomously
- Tertiary qualified (desirable but not essential)
