We are thrilled to collaborate with a dynamic organization based in Queensland in their pursuit of a Human Resources Business Partner for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract to cover parental leave. This is an urgent requirement to start immediately.
This role reports to People and Change to People and Culture Lead, offering professional support in managing people processes. The focus is on integrating effective systems and procedures to achieve optimal outcomes for both the organization and its employees.
About the role
In this role, you will cultivate strong partnerships with leaders, providing guidance on legislative and policy frameworks relevant to core human resource functions. You will assist leaders in navigating complex HR issues, including employee relations. Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, you will drive continuous improvement in performance and development dialogues. You will actively contribute to organizational design discussions, ensuring strategic decisions adhere to established principles. Additionally, you will deliver timely, comprehensive business performance data aligned with key people-related metrics and advise business leaders on cyclical HR activities. Your responsibilities will also encompass supporting the development and deployment of HR policies and procedures that reflect industry best practices, facilitating efficient operational enhancements.
About you
- Possess tertiary qualifications in HR Management, Business, or a related discipline;
- You will have over 5 years of experience in a HR generalist role;
- You have demonstrable previous experience in employee relations matters;
- You have had exposure to organisational development, performance management, succession planning, and remuneration processes.
- You can showcase expertise in high-quality interpersonal skills, including listening, negotiating, and influencing to achieve organisational objectives;
- You have a track record in providing advice on HR policies and procedures within government or compliance-focused environments;
- You are a proven subject matter expertise and application in HR Management or a relevant discipline;
- You can provide guidance on employment-related legislation, policies, and frameworks;
- You utilise HR analytics and metrics effectively to drive continuous improvement initiatives;
- You possess broad HR knowledge applicable to mining, utilities, industrial, or service industries; and
- You are skilled in developing and maintaining trusted partnerships with key stakeholders to facilitate organisational goal achievement.
