About the role
As our Human Resources Business Partner, you will be instrumental in fostering positive employee relations and managing complex HR cases within Cancer Council Queensland. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills, capable of handling sensitive matters with empathy and professionalism. You will collaborate closely with managers and employees to resolve issues, promote a positive employee experience, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
This role is a twelve month fixed-term full time position, required to work 37.5 hours per week.
About you
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Relevant qualifications in HR, Business, Organisational Development, Employment Law or a related discipline
- Strong experience and knowledge as a generalist and multi-disciplined Human Resources practitioner in a multi-site organisation
- Strong experience in interpreting and providing advice on legislation, case law, regulatory and enterprise agreements
- Experience in sensitively, confidentially and fairly managing people issues with solid knowledge of the legal parameters of the employment relationship
- Strong organisational and time management skills with a focus on driving results and meeting critical deadlines whilst managing a number of complex cases
