Government agency seeking a Human resources officer with strong administrative skills, including attention to detail and ability to work in a high pressure environment.
- 4 Month contract with a potential to extend.
- Paying $40-45 an hour + Super
- WFH flexibility available, at times the successful candidate may be required to come into the office full time, if working on confidential projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support recruitment and selection processes and activity including advertising, scheduling interviews, liaising with applicants, panel members and providing clarity of information.
- Coordinate on-boarding and off-boarding processes for employees and temporary staff, including new starter internal notifications, induction schedules, maintaining compliance records and responding to pre-commencement queries.
- Support the engagement of employees through induction, early engagement and exit survey data analysis, producing insights for discussion with HR team.
- Prepare employment contracts and variations as well as other employment related documents, storing all data in line with information management requirements.
- Produce and update organisational charts, templates and forms and news posts to ensure currency of information and related policies and documents on the HR SharePoint site.
- Coordinate logistics for learning and development (L&D), liaising with attendees and facilitators, arranging catering, managing attendance, and collating post training feedback forms.
- Provide direct support to employees on a range of HR processes and systems and general enquiries.
- Maintain a central register of HR policies and service contracts, and coordinate a continuous review process.
- Support the payroll processing by collating information and providing employee updates including confirmation and action of regular requests from employees via email.
- Provide general administration assistance to the HR team and temporary coverage of the Business Support Officer function at reception as necessary.

- Participate effectively in the ongoing processes of Creative Australia's team meetings and the organisation's performance management process.
- Demonstrate ongoing commitment to work health and safety policies and procedures.
- Undertake other duties and projects reasonably requested by your direct supervisor or senior management
Essential requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating information flows within a team, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy in written communications.
- Advanced proficiency in O365 applications and aptitude for business systems.
- Strong organisational and time management skills including the ability to manage competing and/ or changing priorities, and to deliver to deadlines.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively with a wide variety of stakeholders using confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion.
- Demonstrated drive and initiative, with a proactive approach to work and proven ability to work unsupervised.
Desired:
Relevant tertiary qualification (eg HR, Finance, Economics, Business) and/ or equivalent progressive experience
