About you
You are a motivated, energetic, and well-organised HR Officer who is passionate about managing the employment life cycle. From recruitment and administration, to training and development. You are a strong communicator, equally comfortable in a toolbox meeting as briefing managers, and you like make a difference at grassroots level.
About the role
As our HR Officer, you will be leading the charge in attracting and retaining top talent. You will be the cornerstone of creating a supportive and engaging work environment, ensuring our team is motivated and thriving.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, from job creation, to screening, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.
- Develop and implement creative recruitment strategies to attract the most suitable candidates, focusing on both traditional and innovative channels.
- Book candidates for inductions and clearly guide them through the process (communication skills are the key!)
- Manage employee relations, assisting in HR-related queries to support our team’s well-being and professional development.
- Monitor performance and provide guidance regarding disciplinary action and conducting workplace investigations as required.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Ensuring all administration is accurate and up-to-date.
- Engage in activities and initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive company culture.

- This is an office-based position (Clyde North) with weekly travel to our Truganina and Devon Meadows sites required: current drivers’ licence is essential.
- Company vehicle will be provided for work travel based at the Clyde Office.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum 2 years’ experience in Recruitment or Human Resources, preferably within the transport & logistics industry & ideally working in a unionised environment.
- Proven track record in managing full-cycle recruitment processes.
- A good understanding of employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all levels.
- Flexible and adaptable, with a proactive approach (a positive attitude is a must!)
- Relevant qualifications in Human Resources (or similar)
