Human Resources Manager / People and Culture Role

The Village employs over 250 all-star staff and has 420 independent living units on site, a 64 bed aged care facility and also provides Home and Community Care to our residents as well as the local community.
Village Baxter is looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team and to oversee the day-to-day operations of Human Resources/People and Culture at the Village, 9am-3pm, 5 days a week.

- Salary circa $90k (FTE)
Essential Requirements Include:
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources
- At least 5 years' experience in a HR or senior leadership role
- Previous experience in the aged care industry (desired)
- A set of personal values that will align with the Village’s philosophy.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Providing support to the Executive Leadership team and their staff through the Management and coordination of our STEPS program:
Safety:
- Coordinating the Village’s Workplace Health and Safety Program
- Chairing the Workplace Health and Safety Committee
- Workcover management and administration
- Supporting the Managers with incident reporting and investigation
- Supporting the Return-to-Work Coordinators
- Managing the Village Bus safety program compliance
Training:
- Managing the Village training calendar
- Supporting Managers with the administrative component of employee performance management
Pathways:
- Managing the recruitment and employment processes
- Management of the Position Description, Human Resources, Work Safe, Injury Management and OH&S Program policy manuals.
- Remain up to date with employment legislation and IR/HR industry trends.
- Management of Workforce statistical reporting obligations.
Engagement:
- Collaborate with Managers and Staff to design initiatives that embed our Company values in our culture and practices.
- Lead the delivery of the employee satisfaction survey including presenting and monitoring results and responding to employee concerns.
- Organising Social events and employee engagement functions.
- Editing and distributing the Employee Newsletter and major communications
Support:
- Managing the Employee Assistance Program
- Manage grievances and lead workplace investigations in a fair, timely and efficient manner consistent with employment legislation
- Managing the Workplace Medical Assessment Program
This is a full time, 9am-3pm, 5 days a week HR Manager/People and Culture position.
