I am working with a Government Department who are seeking a Policy and Procedural Writer to provide advice and support in the development of HR-related policies, frameworks, and procedures. You will create and simplify documents to enable a faster adoption of changes that impact leaders and employees.
This is a temporary position until March 2024 paying $48.50 per hour.
Responsibilities:
Support in the design of frameworks for the fundamental resourcing area of HR, improving existing policies and procedures, and developing new ones.
Write and edit technical documents, policy manuals, and procedural documents tailored to the tone and content for various target populations.
Write and edit creative content for various target audiences in line with brand guidelines to publish on websites and in print with guidance from subject matter experts.
Design and develop content for training courses and ensure high levels of learner engagement and achievement of learning outcomes.
Collect business requirements using a variety of methods to express the requirements in terms of target user roles and goals.
Contribute to stakeholder engagement through identifying stakeholders, finding out their needs/issues/concerns, arranging meetings and events, and drafting supporting materials to promote understanding and commitment.
Deliver small-scale or medium-scale document development and instructional design projects while working within an established program management plan.
Act as a team member supporting a change initiative by providing analysis or monitoring progress with guidance from a project/program manager.
Requirements:
Meticulous attention to detail and very analytical.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Foundational research ability.
Well-organized.
Knowledge of technical publication concepts, tools, and methods and the way in which these are used.
Ability to apply principles of usability and accessibility to published information.
Strong project management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
