About the role
We are currently seeking a Project Engineer from a Hydraulic Building Services background to form a key part of our public infrastructure project based in Armadale, Perth. This role will focus on coordinating on-site construction engineering activities to achieve project time, quality and budget objectives safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the achievement of Laing O’Rourke’s safety targets and zero tolerance of unsafe and un-environmentally conscious working practices and occurrences.
- Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities of the project to ensure that project plans are implemented in accordance with designs and specifications.
- Provide project engineering support to the construction teams to facilitate the construction process.
- Collaborate with structural engineers and other stakeholders to integrate hydraulic solutions into project designs.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings and specifications.
- Ongoing monitoring and reporting of work progress.
- Direct interface with the construction crews to collect data on information required for project status, cost reporting and forecasting.
- Support the site construction crews with developing and communicating work packages.
- Assist with technical queries.
- Provide direction and supervision for Site Engineers, as required.
You will have
- A degree qualification in Engineering (Mechanical) along with experience having worked as a Project Engineer for Tier 1 Construction Contractors.
- Experience with services on complex building projects with top-tier contractors
- A strong commercial acumen.
- A collaborative approach with proven ability to work effectively in a team.
- Strong problem solving, organisational and communication skills.
- A high attention to detail.
