Our client, based in Newcastle, is growing fast. Superior workmanship and exceptional customer service means more clients and more staff!Servicing the Mining, Rail, Marine, Civil, Drilling and Tunnelling industries among others, our client has a 50 person strong workforce which is increasing rapidly with the onset of more and more work requests.
Repairing and servicing all types of pumps, motors, valves, cylinders and drill rigs is what they are known for locally. Along with this they also manufacture and hold drill head parts. Our client has a fully laid out Hydraulic Fitting workshop and machine shop including Manual and CNC Machine capabilities.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the role of Hydraulic Workshop Foreman, will beresponsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of the Hydraulic Workshop. More specifically your duties will involve;
- Allocating jobs to relevant team members
- Ordering parts and materials and following up if overdue
- Attend and contribute to daily production meetings
- Professionally deal with any warranty or rework issues
- Prepare and oversee the preparation or process and KPI timeframes
- Work with administration in preparing and updating the WIP report as required
- Supervise Hydraulic shop staff members
- Strong leadership, discipline and time management skills
- Trade qualifications in a mechanical discipline
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications
- Strong knowledge in hydraulics
- Strong knowledge of repair processes and equipment
- The ability to read and interpret parts and service manuals
- Strong adherence to workshop safety
