Victoria Police have an exciting opportunity for three professional ICT Delivery Managers to manage and maintain the pipeline of activity related to maintaining or introducing new products and services that support an organisation of more than 22,000 people state-wide. Specifically, we have 3 x Delivery Manager roles that will manage projects and services in the Intelligence, Investigation & Analytics Domain
Working closely with the Domain Head and relevant Product Managers to lead and manage the delivery within the domain and assisting in defining the vision. The role manages the capacity and demand in alignment to the prioritisation framework as well as managing the initiative delivery ensuring they are tracking to plan, quality expectations, risks are managed, escalates impediments, confirms value delivery and assists in driving consistent improvement across the Domain utilising an Agile methodology.
This role will be working in a highly dynamic and well-established team of ICT services professionals and will be regularly exposed to the various disciplines that Victoria Police operates in.

Your duties will include:
- Ensure that the delivery of product changes and enhancements in the allocated ICT Domain are managed effectively to ensure they deliver the agreed service requirements in line with our value management framework.
- Engaging with selected delivery partners/external consultants to implement changes and new additions to ICT products and services.
- Facilitating and coordinating business analysis, requirements gathering, and backlog management and prioritisation for ICT product enhancements, developments, and defect resolution.
- Ensuring that information management and quality assurance procedures are followed to ensure compliance with Victoria Police standards and procedures.
- Managing changes, additions and enhancements to ICT products and services, including overseeing change requests.
- Achieve outcomes as negotiated and agreed in approved ICT Domain Programme/Project Management Plans.
- Establish and manage effective working relationships with relevant service providers and lead and manage service delivery improvements and service level agreements.
- Prepare documentation, including but not limited to high level and detailed programme/project management plans, programme/project schedules and resource plans, status reports and implementation plans aimed at ensuring successful delivery outcomes.
- Represent Victoria Police at relevant government and industry forums and negotiate and influence external stakeholders.
- Manage and provide leadership and direction to a multi-disciplinary team of professional technical and administrative staff to ensure high quality service delivery.
- Lead collaborative and planning processes, prioritising the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the team.
- Actively participate in the agile delivery community; sharing and re-applying skills and knowledge and bring in best practice across the organisation and government.
- Ensure that information management, security & privacy, and quality assurance procedures are implemented and followed to maintain the integrity of the controls environment and comply with Victoria Police standards and procedures.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a multidisciplinary ICT role is highly desirable.
- Extensive senior project management and initiative delivery experience in all elements of a project cycle including the development of detailed project plans, governance, reporting, implementation and post implementation reviews.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of Agile methodologies to deliver key initiatives and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated experience in the leading and managing of teams of IT professionals.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills together with demonstrated strong written communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience at a senior level in the preparation and provision of responsive, clear and concise specialist advice, recommendations and solutions both verbally and in writing through effective research, negotiation and consultation with stakeholders.
- Proven ability to monitor client and stakeholder satisfaction, and constructively manage stakeholder issues to ensure positive outcomes for the stakeholder and the Department, as well as exposure to Public Sector agencies.
- Undergraduate degree in Technology, Business or Engineering disciplines is highly desirable.
- Formal qualifications in SAFE, ITIL or COBIT frameworks is highly desirable.
- Demonstrate experience working in an agile and dynamic technology environment.
- This is a full-time, ongoing position available.
- These positions are located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
