The Opportunity
This opportunity offers a technical leader with a background in business strategy to impact the Canberra community. As the Vikings ICT Manager, you'll oversee IT infrastructure, operations, and security, whilst leading a small IT team.
You'll be responsible for developing a future organisational technical roadmap under the guidance of the Chief Operating Executive (COE), encompassing the creation of a cyber security plan and an ICT architecture plan.
The Role
As the ICT Manager of the Vikings Group, you will:
- Lead a comprehensive review of current ICT status, including roles, responsibilities, architecture, vendors, and cybersecurity
- Develop future organisational design options and ICT architecture plans, ensuring effectiveness and efficiency
- Provide vendor assessment recommendations, aligning with organisational design and industry standards
- Design and implement a phased cybersecurity plan to meet industry best practices
- Execute approved recommendations from organisational design, ICT architecture, vendor assessment, and cybersecurity plans
- Draft strategic ICT and Digital Strategies, considering technology stacks, digital capabilities, and a cashless environment pathway for increased efficiency and patronage
The ideal candidate possesses tertiary education in IT or 10 years of tech exposure. You demonstrate a profound understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, security, and emerging technologies. Your expertise lies in forming strategies, roadmaps, and plans. You excel in optimising IT systems and infrastructure to uncover cost-saving opportunities.
Combined with your knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and compliance, your strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills make you the perfect fit for this role.
