The Change Manager will work closely with the Senior Leadership group to manage the business and APS change activities to ensure effective delivery of the business and APS capability and enable optimal realisation of desired, measurable benefits. They will apply comprehensive knowledge of principles, practices and theories as they relate to effective project and change management, with particular regard to PRINCE2, Agile and PROSCI methodologies.
The Change Manager will develop Change Management Plans and relevant change artefacts to ensure the best outcomes for the relevant stakeholders; covering a holistic approach and using five change management levers to drive successful change i.e.
- communications plan
- sponsor roadmap
- coaching plan
- training plan
- resistance management plan
As part of this role, the successful candidate will be required to deliver the following:
- Develop and deliver a Change management strategy and plan for the project.
- Develop and deliver a communication management strategy and plan for the project.
- Work as a member of the project team to execute the agreed plan across all project stakeholders
- Develop and deliver a change management plan structure and approach (including templates) that will assist stakeholders to subsequently develop their own internal change management plans for the project outputs.
- This plan will require a clear role and responsibilities definition between the stakeholders and the project(s).
- Provide weekly reports to the nominated manager / executive.
- Report to and attend project meetings as required including project boards or user advisory groups.

- Minimum of 5 years previous experience in an IT Organisational Change Manager role delivering desired business outcomes in a large and complex information technology organisation.
- Exceptional level of interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills and an ability to effectively develop strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and operational staff.
- Extensive knowledge of organisational change management methodologies, tools and structure.
- Experience in the ADKAR, Kotter, Prosci,or ACMP change management methodology and applying it to Agile and Prince2 projects
- Persuasive oral and written communication skills including effectiveness in negotiation and liaison.
- Comfortable with new ways of thinking about accessibility and enthusiastic about accessible design & development will be highly regarded.
- Experience working on secure government systems.
- Experience working in a complex global ICT environment.
- Qualification and/or accreditation in Change Management (ADKAR, Kotter, Prosci, ACMP).
- Experience with project management systems, tools, and processes and how these are practically used in Agile and Waterfall environments (DevOps, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Project).
