Position Description:
This role will work within the area of the Systems Integration and Operations (SIO), ICT Delivery Division, Chief Information Officer Group, Department of Defence.
The Integrated Logistics Support Manager will be required to perform and/or have responsibility for duties including, but not limited to:
- Plan, lead and manage ILS human and physical resources;
- Develop logistic plans and procedures including their implementation and review;
- Conduct service design of WSO ITSM support functions and develop plans and procedures including their implementation and review;
- Conduct investigative work to determine ILS requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, information management, practices, procedures, and organisation change.
- Assist in the development of the Support System aspects of Functional Performance Specifications for future acquisitions.
- Manage the conduct of Logistic Support Analysis in support of a major acquisition and subsequent continual improvement cycles;
- Manages and mitigates logistic risks;
- Provide oversight and guidance on logistic costs;
- Provide assistance in financial reconciliation of project funds;
- Set ILS and ITSM work that aligns with strategic and operational outcomes for Defence;
- Provide advice and guidance to the WSO Senior Leadership Team;
- Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders at the strategic and operational level;
Conduct Inventory optimisation assessments and develop related plans;
- Develop and conduct ILS and ITSM continual improvement strategies and plans;
- Be responsible for and have oversight of ILS Team activities including the;
- Development of subordinate ILS processes, procedures, and ILSIs;
- Operation of WSO warehouse;
- o Conduct IT asset management;
- o Conduct physical disposal of decommissioned capabilities;
- o Conduct Codification and Cataloguing of new IOS;
- o Input Hardware technical data to LIMS;
- Review hardware identified for procurement and ensure they meet configuration baselines;
- Manage the movement and storage of hardware for prototype, development, build, install, and deploy activites.
