Salary HEW 6 + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements
Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University
About You
As the Impact and Engagement Officer (IEO), you will be responsible for maintaining GUSS, CUR, and SERC’s internal and external communications and public engagement platforms to showcase research and build public profile.
In this role, there will be a ‘whole of School’ focus, prioritising engagement and impact activity collectively, rather than focusing on individual researchers or projects. As the IEO, you will be responsible for content development and oversight of website research content, promotion of research activity, and disseminating outputs through social media and other channels. You will also assist with events and activities to establish and strengthen networks and relationships with research, policy, industry, and professional organisations.
To be successful in this position, you will have as a minimum:
Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining communication platforms and processes, and communicating research content, outcomes, and outputs in a range of media to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated self-directed planning and organisational skills with the proven ability to produce high quality outputs that demonstrate an attention to detail, a strong commitment to quality, and a well-developed ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated event and project coordination skills, including the coordination of communications, marketing, and promotional activities to assist the project to reach its outcomes, timelines, and budget.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement innovative and creative solutions.
