With our Japanese Desk Service in Australia, we work closely with Japanese companies and provide tailored workforce solutions including permanent and contract staffing, recruitment process outsourcing and payroll outsourcing primarily to Japanese companies across Australia.

Our client is a Japanese company specializing in the manufacturing and sale of food., and they are currently seeking an Import and Order Processing Coordinator in Sydney, aiming for further business expansion.

About the role:

you will be responsible for importing products manufactured in Thailand and Japan to Australia, facilitating delivery to our various customers.

  • Order data entry and inventory management, adjusting production schedules, and placing orders with suppliers.
  • Communicate with clients to gather their requirements and to facilitate various adjustments.
  • Manage the schedule to meet the agreed lead time with the customer by collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery.
  • Handle import-related documents and procedures appropriately, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and maintain all aspects of payment receivable and payable from scheduling to verification.
  • Prepare and process bank-related arrangements including but not limited to deposits and wiring money.
  • Resolve any issues that arise with customer orders including but not limited to changes, cancellations, or discrepancies.
  • Ad-hoc tasks or projects as per other requests.

Skills and Experience:

We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates the following:

  • Desirable qualifications include a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Over two years of experience in Import and trade operations.
  • Experience in using import-related software and tools, enabling efficient task execution.
  • Fluent in both Japanese and English.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable customs procedures and tariffs
  • Ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to facilitate smooth communication with customers and build a trusting relationship.
  • Ability to think and work independently
