About the role
You will be reporting to Import Manger on maternity cover capacity for 12 months. You will be primarily responsible for the effective delivery of Import Operations. Provide Customer Service, Sales and administration support including documentary, statutory reporting, and transport services to support functions to “K” Line Logistics import air and sea freight customers.
Your daily task will include:
- To ensure that all requirements of “K” Line Logistics (Australia) Pty Ltd are complied with in terms of reporting deadlines, procedures, and policy.
- To ensure that customer needs are identified, reported and wherever possible satisfied.
- System Registration of Sea freight shipments / documents retention and job level
- CMR reporting obligations, collection and distribution of Delivery Orders, preparation on import manifests, arrival notices and client invoices.
- Process supplier invoices, code and approve for payment ensuring they are charged as quoted and coded against relative job correctly.
- Advise shippers of any changes to vessel / airline schedule checking and reporting transshipments information
- Allocated Client, Supplier and overseas office engagement.
Skills and Experience
- 2-3 years of experience in the related industry within Australia and exposure to Cargowise Software will be advantageous.
- Team oriented, have an eye for detail, willing to learn and see work through to completion
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
