AddressOrora Group is a global packaging manufacturer, distributor and visual communications solutions company. Orora is seeking a generalist in-house lawyer to join its friendly in-house legal team.
The Role
This is a newly created role due to continued growth. It presents an exciting opportunity to join Orora’s experienced and established legal group and to work across a range of areas in this high performing, approachable and collaborative team. You will work closely with the General Counsel and legal team across Orora’s business units in relation to the following:
- Drafting and negotiations of projects and commercial agreements
- Providing frontline support in relation to a broad range of legal matters such as negotiation with key stakeholders, regulators, corporate advisory, workplace relations and IP
- Assisting with corporate governance and ASX listing requirements as required
- Supporting the business units in negotiating contracts and resolving disputes
- Engaging with and supporting delivery of advice from external lawyers as required
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have between 2-5 yrs' PQE experience from a well-regarded law firm or similar in-house organisation. You will also have:
- A friendly, approachable manner with the ability to engage and communicate at all levels
- Strong stakeholder management skills and commitment to develop stakeholder relationships
- Strong commercial acumen
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal clients and outside service providers
- A commercial and pragmatic attitude to legal issues
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
