The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service is a not-for-profit organisation providing world class aeromedical, search and rescue services to those in need 24/7. The Service has more than 40 years of proud history, and now operates from three bases in NSW (Tamworth, Belmont, Lismore) in addition to a Head Office and Deeper Level Maintenance (DLM) facility based in Broadmeadow NSW.
We currently have an opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to join our highly regarded Marketing team as our In-Kind Gifts Relationship Officer. This role is a 12 month, fixed-term contract reporting to the Business and Community Partnerships Manager and will help support our fundraising efforts through the sourcing and establishment of new partnerships, which will benefit the Service through in-kind (non-cash) gift donations that can be used by the Service to help with fundraising efforts at our events throughout the year.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Developing new partnerships for the Service with companies who can provide products or services which can be auctioned or raffled at events and activities.
- Developing plans that identify key partner targets, timelines, and a compelling prize partnership proposal to prospective partners.
- Secure and nurture relationships with businesses within and outside our operating region.
- Facilitate planning with internal stakeholders to identify in-kind gift needs.
- Support and enable the delivery of successful fundraising events and activities for the Fundraising &Marketing team through provision of in-kind and prize support for auctions and raffles.
- Support the Business and Community Partnerships Manager in developing and delivering partnership plans for all new and existing in-kind and prize partners.
To be considered for this role, you will have experience in outbound sales or relationship management. It is preferred but not essential to have experience working in the not-for profit sector. You will have excellent communication and networking skills, proven experience in relationship management and partnership development, and strong organizational skills with an advanced attention to detail. Familiarity with CRM software or donor management systems is advantageous.
