Independent Committee Member – Nominations Committee
Wheatbelt Natural Resource Management Inc (Wheatbelt NRM) is seeking an Independent Committee Member for our Nominations Committee.
Passion meets purpose at Wheatbelt NRM; share your passion for the Wheatbelt and contribute your expertise to help support the work great of this leading not-for-profit based in Northam.
The Nominations Committee is advisory to the Board. Meeting approximately 2-6 times per year depending on circumstances, you will be supported in the role, be paid sitting fees, and work alongside other passionate Wheatbelt members.
The Nominations Committee provides advice to the Board in relation to areas such as:
- Board composition and size including strategies for Board diversity,
- Board induction and the provision of appropriate ongoing training and development opportunities for Directors as required,
- Recommendation of performance metrics and evaluation structures for the CEO and senior executives and undertake the approved evaluation, and
- When required, oversee searches for the CEO and senior executives and recommend preferred candidates and course of action to the Board.
The initial term of the appointment is for two years. The Nominations Committee conducts both online and face to face meetings. Individuals who have been employed by Wheatbelt NRM or have been a member of the Wheatbelt NRM Board in the last three years are not considered to be independent.
We're looking for individuals with experience and passion in the following areas:
- Qualifications and/or experience in Board and Executive recruitment and support,
- Provision of expertise relating to performance management and succession planning,
- Collaboration with Committee Members and the executive team to identify training and development opportunities, and
- Experience in Board governance practices and working on committees.
